the farm
Imagine a refined atmosphere in the Friulian countryside, a welcoming refuge where you can rediscover being in contact with nature. Immerse yourself in an elegant and comfortable place, where time stops and relaxation starts. Find again the dimension of tranquility and listen to the rhythms of nature and of your body. All this is possible in the Luisa guest house, a enchanting place where ancient atmospheres reign. The guest house was opened in October 2010 according to the wishes of Eddi Luisa who restored the old winery where the story of the Luisa estate began in 1927. Comprising 4 rooms, including a junior suite, and 7 apartments, today it has the appearance of a medieval village of days gone by, a place where the guest arrives as a client, and leaves as a friend.structures

A concentration of culture, research, tradition and typicalness . This is what you can taste in the Luisa wines, where that which is rooted in time and the long winemaking tradition of the family is carefully balanced with research and innovation. The result is a wine of undoubted quality, that establishes a strong tie with its geographical origin, and makes the most of the raw material, that is to say the grape itself - understanding its potential, interpreting its transformation and following its evolution.IAll this in the knowledge that the great vintages, and the great varieties of grape are all different and that it is this very variability, whilst always in the search for excellence, that lends originality and a touch of magic to the unique world of wine.where we are
Our holding, covering more than 75 ha (185 acres) of vineyards and is located close to the village of Corona in the DOC Friuli Isonzo area, in the most northeasterly part of Italy, bordering Slovenia. The area, bordered to the south by the Adriatic Sea, and to the north by the Carnic Alps, enjoys a unique climate as a result of the confluence of several winds: the Bora, a cold stinging wind coming from the east and the Scirocco, warmer and more humid, coming from the sea. The Bora in particular favours a slow, but constant maturation, producing grapes that are more concentrated and better balanced, with richer flavours and aromas. The soil is characterised by great richness in elements, especially aluminium and iron, giving the wines a unique taste, faithful to its terroir of origin. In fact, the type of rock and the soil affect the absorption of water and minerals by the vines, so that the wine is ineluctably linked to the area that produces it.
Not by chance does the name I FERRETTI, a precious collection of wines, aged in 500 litre French oak casks, recall the name of the area from which they come.
