the farm

As the name suggests, at our farm holiday centre it is still possible to enjoy this typical and traditional Tuscan snack (Pane e Olio means �bread and oil�). We are located in the heart of a wood (Bosco di Villa), where it is possible to enjoy total peace and relaxation while enjoying the splendid panoramic views of Garfagnana, from the Tuscan Emilian Apennines to the peaks of the Apuane Alps.
 

structures

There are 4 main buildings: our house, the Hansel apartment , the Gretel apartment  and the old Metato, which was once used to dry chestnuts and now serves as a reception area. In the centre of it all is the old �farmyard�, where it is possible to eat in summer and which is overlooked by the �cookery workshop� with its old wood-burning oven.
 
The renovation work was carried out following the principles of bio-architecture and totally respecting the characteristic architectural features of the area.
 
The accommodation, which has also been designed to suit disabled persons, has been furnished with special care and excellent taste.
 
Each apartment also has its own pretty private area and parking spaces.
 
We also accept dogs and cats, who will find new friends here (Lillo, Greg, Gaippe and Lola).

Hansel ( 4 + 3 persons )
The Hansel apartment (96 square metres) is decorated in the pastel shades of spring and enjoys views out over the entire valley.

It has two large bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of which for disabled persons.

The kitchen and living room are divided by a large arch so that they almost form a single large room.

The apartment is accessed through the main entrance, crossing a very pretty covered loggia that is ideal for summer evenings. It also has a secondary entrance leading off from the garden in front of the kitchen, in the area with barbecue and sun loungers.


Gretel ( 4 + 4 persons )
The Gretel apartment (96 square metres) is decorated throughout in the warm shades and orange tones of summer. It has a small private garden and an old farmyard in front of it, where it is possible to eat outside under a pergola of wisteria.

The kitchen, which has old marble grit worktops and sink, practically forms a single large room with the living area, which has a fireplace in the centre.

The large bedrooms have been carefully furnished with period pieces.

From 2012, the restaurant is finally also open to �non-residents� of the Agritourism centre, for typical dinners, �merende cenate� (early dinners) and tasting menus.

 Menus are strictly seasonal; we use, almost exclusively, the organic produce of our kitchen gardens.

The meats and cheeses, too, come from our farm.
