San Silvestro Farmhouse lies on a hill top in Chianti Classico area, in the heart of Tuscany, between Florence and Siena. Our farmhouse is an ideal location for your relaxing holiday in Tuscany and for visiting famous art cities such as Florence, Siena, Lucca, San Giminiano, Volterra, Pisa as well as the nearby country villages of the famous Chianti Classico region: San Donato in Poggio, Castellina, Greve, Barberino Val d�Elsa, Radda, Gaiole, Tavarnelle, San Casciano. 
The Villa and the Old Barn, restored respecting the original Tuscan Style, are surrounded by splendid private gardens, olive groves, vineyards, orchards and woods.
A holiday in our farm is a memorable experience: you will feel a guest and not a customer!

The San Silvestro Farmhouse has two cozy apartments skillfully constructed from an old century barn. The style is extremely welcoming but at the same time refined, with great attention to detail. It integrates well with the landscape, producing a charming effect for our guests: stone walls, exposed wooden beams, floors in hand made terracotta tiles, wrought iron beds, antiques, all in the best Tuscan tradition. Each apartment, with independent entrance and parking space, is also equipped with outdoor furniture.Swimming pool, table tennis, mountain bikes, barbecue and a Wi-fi area are available to guests.

MonnaLisa Apartment (4/6 people):The apartment MonnaLisa (85mq) is on the upper floor of the Old Barn. It consists of a living-room with an open fire place and satellite TV, a dining area, a well equipped kitchen area, a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a bathroom with enclosed shower, a closet. In the private garden there is a gazebo (5m x 4m) with wooden table and benches where you can eat outdoors while enjoying a spectacular view. 
Leonardo Apartment (4/6 people):The apartment Leonardo (70mq) is on the lower floor of the Old Barn. It consists of a large living room with satellite TV, a well equipped kitchen, a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a bathroom with enclosed shower. In the private garden there is a gazebo (4m x 3m)  with table and chairs where you can have your meals enjoying an unforgettable view. 
The apartments have independent entrances and parking spaces.Swimming pool, table tennis, mountain bikes, barbecue and a Wi-fi area are available to guests.

The swimming pool (6mx12m) is surrounded by a sun-deck, ample green spaces with olive trees and old stone walls. The shower is equipped with a solar panel. Deck-chairs and umbrellas are available to guests.  From here you can admire an unforgettable sunset. 
Table tennis, mountain bikes, barbecue and a Wi-fi area are available to guests.

The old farm of San Silvestro (45ha) is located on a hill top, about 485m above sea level, in the heart of Chianti, in the Tuscan countryside between Florence and Siena, only 27km from Florence and 30 km from Siena.Our property is located between the medieval village of San Donato (3km) and Castellina (6km), of Etruscan and Roman origins, in the Chianti Classico area, right in the heart of Tuscany.
The farm is surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, orchards and woods. The quiet location and broad views of the countryside are the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday. This is also an ideal location for visiting famous art cities such as Florence, Siena, Lucca, San Giminiano, Pisa, Volterra, as well as the nearby villages of the famous Chianti Classico area: Greve, Barberino Val d'Elsa, Radda, Gaiole, Tavarnelle, San Casciano with their churches and abbeys, castles and fortresses, farmhouses and villas.
In the village of San Donato, only 3km away, there are some grocery stores, a supermarket, a pharmacy, doctors, two banks, a post office, a petrol station, wine shops where you can taste the famous Chianti Classico wines and a museum of country culture.In the Romanesque Pieve di San Donato you can admire the baptismal font in glazed earthenware by Giovanni della Robbia.Both San Donato and Castellina have several excellent restaurants, taverns, and inns.
In the neighbourhood there are tennis courts, a golf course, fishing and horse riding possibilities. You can rent a mountain-bike in our farm and our gentle hills are full of shady lanes, perfect for cycling or trekking.

where we are

From Milan and Rome: take the A1 motorway and exit the motorway at Firenze Impruneta, then take the free highway towards Siena. After 21 km exit at San Donato; turn left following the signs for San Donato, pass the village from the outside road and follow the main road to Castellina. After 3 kilometers, when you get to a crossroads where there is a well marked sign for Olena (on the right), you must turn left on the opposite dust road and follow the sign to Agriturismo San Silvestro. Our farm is 800 meters away.
