La Collina dei Lecci is a traditional Tuscan stone house built on a hill surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and centuries old trees, only five kilometres away from San Gimignano. The house is divided in apartments elegantly furnished in traditional Tuscan style, with exposed beams and terracotta floors. All apartments are fitted with a fully equipped kitchen and a living dining-area, and a private bathroom equipped with a shower. Open all year long, La Collina dei Lecci is an enjoyably peaceful place, ideally located for daily excursions to old historical centres such as Volterra, Siena and Florence, or simply to enjoy the traditional Tuscan food and the historical heritage of the many small villages around the area. Completely surrounded by forests and fields La Collina dei Lecci is also an ideal base for hiking, trekking and bike excursions in the heart of Tuscany.

duble bedroomAll bedrooms have been refurbished according to the traditional Tuscan style, with typical wood-beam ceilings and terracotta floors.  All rooms are equipped with toilette, shower and television and all have a separate entrance, which can be reached from the common eating and living area.All guests can use the outdoor space adjacent to the rooms, equipped with tables and barbecue. In each room it is possible to add a third bed. apartament il sassoLocated on the ground floor of the building, this apartment is divided in three double rooms, all equipped with a television. Two of the rooms have shared bathroom facilities; one has a private bathroom. In each of the rooms it is possible to add a third bed. The living room is elegantly furnished with a sofa, a large dining table, a fireplace and a kitchen fitted with dishwasher, fridge, coffeemaker and provided with all the required cutlery and crockery. The wide glass arched door in the living area opens onto a large lawn with table and chairs to eat outdoor, a barbecue, some deck chairs to sunbathe and a hammock to sit in the shade of the nearby pine trees. apartament lo spigoLocated on the first floor, which can be entered from the external staircase, this apartment is composed of two double rooms; each of them endowed of private bathroom facilities and of a television (it is possible to add a third bed).  The living room is furnished with sofa, dining room, fireplace, a fitted kitchen complete of fridge, dishwasher, coffeemaker, cutlery and crockery. Outside, a barbecue and a dining table to eat �al fresco� are available to our guests.

Many other villages of historical and artistic interest can be reached by car in one and a half hour, such as: Certaldo, Colle Val d�Elsa, Casole d�Elsa and Monteriggioni. A two hours drive will get you also to the numerous villages of the Chianti Classico region, to Pienza and to the Val d�Orcia. It is possible to visit (only if escorted) the abandoned medieval village of Castelvecchio di San Gimignano.During the hunting season it is possible � by previous arrangement � to take part to wild boar hunts.

where we are

From the highway ("Superstrada") Florence-Siena take the exit �POGGIBONSI NORD� and follow the signs for San Gimignano. Once you have arrived at the roundabout just outside the city (about 15 mins later), turn left and follow the indication for Castelsangimignano-Volterra. After circa 5 km turn right on the gravel path marked with our sign. The bed and breakfast is only 300 meters away.
