the farm

The farm is situated in the southern area of the Natural Park of Maremma, at feet of Mount Uccellina, only 3 Kilometres from the sea and the historical town of Talamone.
Surrounded by the softness of the hills, the strictly biological sowable land, with almost 3000 age-old olive trees and cattle grazing freely, partially formed by a gorge, at the end of which you will find a trough built in the late 800's, still currently fed by the natural water of Fonte Lepre.
You will frequently encounter the real masters of the land: wild boar, deer, ducks, pheasants, hares and foxes.

We have recently restructured four large apartments taking advantage of the local natural resources and typical style, with wooden beams on the ceilings and ancient stone walls.
All apartments are fitted with independent heating. One of the apartments can accommodate disabled people and is especially equipped to that purpose.

Horse riding and long leisurely walks, with guided tours of the Natural Park of Maremma.
A 9 hole golf course, barely 7 kilometres from the farm.Fishing, swimming, surfing, diving and kite flying along the   Beaches just 10 minutes drive from the farm. 30 minutes drive will bring you to the Thermal Baths of Saturnia.  
The Argentario Peninsula (25 km away); the Islands of Giglio and Giannutri just in front of us. Pitigliano, Sovana, Roselle: Etruscan, Roman villages of the Middle Ages...very closed to us. 
 San Galgano, this beautiful Cistercian abbey, without a roof anymore, was built between 1220 and 1268.
The Abbey of Sant'Antimo, near Montalcino (the famous wine �Brunello di Montalcino�), the most important Romanesque abbeys in Tuscany, founded, as the legend goes, by Charle Magne in the year 781.  
Pienza the city of Pope Pius II - WORLD�WIDE PATRIMONY U.N.E.S.C.O.Il Giardino dei Tarocchi, the garden near Capalbio, is the life-work of the surreal sculptress Niki de Saint Phalle.   Pitigliano constructed on one spur of tufo, of Etruscan origin, then Roman and Longobardi centre.  
The Etruscan necropolis of Velutonia, not far from Castiglione of the Pescaia. Today it is a small village on a hill that dominates the plain of Grosseto, a time one of the most important centre of the Etruria.Kitchen of sea or game and the vineyards of the "Morellino di Scansano" all around.

turn right onto the local road of the "Valentina", in the direction of Collecchio.
